1. Professional networking. A founding principle of Rotary was to provide a forum for professional and business leaders. Our members are involved in government, industry, education, professional practice, the arts and religion, to name a few. Rotary is the oldest and most prestigious service-club organization in the world.

2. Friendship remains the major attraction for membership. Wherever we go we can attend meetings and connect with other Rotarians. We associate with Rotarians in 63 clubs in our district 7890 - Northern CT and Western MA. Our international exchange program is outstanding. We have hosted visitors and students from New Zealand, Australia, Germany, South Korea, Netherlands and India to name a few.

3. Personal growth. Membership in Rotary provides a unique opportunity for leadership, organization and planning, fundraising, team-building and teaching -- skills that are used and enhanced through our projects and programs.

4. Cultural diversity. Rotary is open to evey ethnic group, political persuasion, language and religious belief. We practice and promote tolerance and international understanding. Rotarians are sponsored by other Rotarians.
